Poz Seminar Weekend 2004

The first “Poz Seminar Weekend” was held on April 9th and 10th 2004 at The Center. It was organized by Positive Action and thanks to the hard work of many volunteers and community groups, not to mention the support of our generous sponsors, it was a great success! The main topic areas were: HIV Prevention, HIV Treatment, Living with HIV and HIV Research. The keynote speaker was Dr. Davey Smith from UCSD. There were 25 other speakers presenting 28 talks on topics ranging from ‘Complementary Therapies’ to ‘HIV and the Law’ to ‘Women and HIV’. A fun and educational time was had by all at this free event… as you can see from these photos.
